De 11 LP deluxe boxset Billy Joel - The Vinyl Collection, Vol.2 voltooit het definitieve Billy Joel 12" vinyl album project dat begon met The Vinyl Collection, Vol.1, een 9 LP set uitgebracht in november 2021 in combinatie met de 50e verjaardag van Cold Spring Harbor (Billy's debuut solo studio album, oorspronkelijk uitgebracht op 1 november 1971). The Vinyl Collection, Vol.2 wordt uitgebracht in de buurt van de 50e verjaardag van "Piano Man," Billy Joel's eerste kenmerkende nummer, uitgebracht als single op 2 november 1973 met het Piano Man album dat een week later uitkwam (9 november 1973).
